Don't Let the Sask Government Privatize Our Province

Jodi works at the casino in Regina. And she works hard both because she enjoys it, and because her whole family counts on her job there. But the threat of privatization has forced a lot of uncertainty and fear into her home.

Say NO to privatization and cuts

To Whom it May Concern,

As a constituent of yours, I’m counting on you to share my concerns with the provincial government on its recent budget cuts and ongoing privatization agenda.

I believe that, with its recent provincial budget, the government is making families and communities pay for its own financial mismanagement. The cuts it announced to public services in general — and, in particular, to health, education, libraries and so much more — is going to dramatically hurt Saskatchewan families and communities.

That’s not what Saskatchewan is about and it’s not the answer to the mess the government created. Strong public services and Crowns, like SaskTel, have always been key to our economy and growth.

This is why today I’m asking you— as the elected representatives closest to our community — to formally demand that the provincial government immediately reverse its budget cuts and stop all privatization of our Crowns and public services.

Say NO to eliminating the STC

To Whom it May Concern,

I don’t know how the provincial government decided that the Saskatchewan Transportation Company (STC) is no longer needed. But they are sorely mistaken.

The STC is critical to connecting our province, and to making sure that people in the north and rural areas have a way of getting to other communities.

This is particularly important in light of government’s budget cuts and centralization of services — many Saskatchewan residents rely on STC to make it to specialist medical appointments in Regina or Saskatoon.

The government’s attempts to eliminate this critical transportation system are poorly thought through and amount to turning its back on rural families and communities.

This is why today I’m asking you— as the elected representatives closest to our community — to formally demand that the provincial government reverse its decision and reinstate the STC for the good of all families and communities.
